Glimmer is an alternative emotional regulation tool via an interactive light installation, serving as the final outcome of my MA thesis project. This work stemmed from an in-depth exploration of human wellness, emphasizing the pivotal role of emotional well-being in daily life. By conducting extensive user research and documenting emerging trends, I identified a gap in the way people engage with emotional regulation tools, leading to the development of a concept that merges light and technology with sensory experiences.
The project involved using interactive design and programming to create a system that supports mindfulness and self-regulation. As a result, Glimmer evolved into an immersive toolkit, offering users a new, engaging way to navigate their emotions through dynamic light interactions.
